"Aloha", a modified high-wing
Breese Monoplane, flies over Lahaina, Maui,
Territory of Hawaii, circa 1928. The
"Aloha" was flown by Martin Jensen
in the 1927 Dole Air Race, Oakland to
Honolulu. Out of 14 planes, only two made
it...."Aloha" finished second.
"Aloha" was kept in the islands
after the race and used for inter-island
commuter and mail flights.
